Mkuu Tours and Travel often uses the following hotels unless required otherwise by the client:

Zanzibar Serena Inn. Located within the Old Stone Town of Zanzibar at Shangani Kelele Square it is ranked quality five star hotel with 54 ensuite double and single rooms. Facilities include, swimming pool, conference centre, nearness to the shopping area, sea front view and television in each room.

Chavda Hotel Limited. Located in the Old Stone Town at Baghani. It ranks standard accommodation with 15 ensuite double and single rooms. Facilities are, an open air Kisima Restaurant, attractive garden, nearness to the shopping centre and an atmosphere of calmness and tranquility.

SAU Inn. Located in the East Coast at Jambiani sea front. Ranking adequate accommodation it has 18 ensuite double and single rooms. Facilities include, reputable restaurant, sea sport facilities, within a traditional fishing village and sandy beach for relaxation.

Mnarani Cottages. Located in the extreme North at Nungwi sea front about 60 km. From the city . It ranks basic with 12 ensuite double and single rooms. Facilities are, sea sport facilities, near to the turtle aquarium, local boat building yard, Nungwi traditional fishing village and special facilities for the honeymooners.

Zanzibar Safaris Resort. Located in the East Coast at Uroa sea front only 35 km. From the city centre. Ranked standard it has 36 ensuite double, single and triple rooms. Facilities include, sea sport, nearness to traditional fishing village, an atmosphere of tranquility.

Tembo Hotel. Located in the Old Stone Town at Shangani Peninsular, rehabilitated from old building by that name. It ranks quality accommodation with 34 ensuite double, single and triple rooms. Facilities include, Bahari Restaurant, swimming pool, within shopping centre, superb boutique and car rental

 

Family Accommodation

1. Karachwala Villa

    Location-East Coast of Zanzibar island and about 20 km. From the city/exit and half km. from the traditional fishing village of Uroa. The road is good.

    Rooms- 2 triple self-contained rooms

    -3 double sharing rooms

    -2 bungalows double self-contained

    Maximum capacity is 16 people at a time

    Costs- US. $ 400 per night for the whole villa

    Catering-facilities are available with no extra cost

    The Housekeeper can be hired at an average of US. $ 15 per day

    Transfers and excursions- are arranged and conducted by Zanzibar Mkuu Tours And Travel at reasonable rate

2. Kizimkazi Beach Villa (Ndame)

Location-South of Zanzibar at a traditional fishing village of Kizimkazi, 60 km. from the city/exit point Superb sandy beach, the area is famous for dolphin watch

Rooms - 2 triple self-contained bungalows

-1 double self-contained bungalow

-Maximum capacity is 10 residents

Costs- US. $. 150 per night for the whole villa

House Keeper can be hired at an average of US. 10 per day

Catering-facilities are all inclusive with no extra costs
